Online Teacher (Elementary & Junior High Preparation)
About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic, approachable, and highly experienced Online Teacher to provide engaging and high-quality instruction to elementary students across multiple subjects. The ideal candidate has a strong academic background, a passion for education, and the ability to create a supportive and interactive virtual learning environment.
This role requires expertise in teaching Math, Science, English Literature, and World Studies (History), with openness to eventually teaching Junior High students as the program expands.
Schedule
- Part-Time: 20 hours per week
- Must be willing to work within:
- New York (Eastern Time)
- Los Angeles (Pacific Time)
- Target start date is Mid August 2026
Flexibility across both U.S. time zones is required depending on class schedules and student needs
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging and interactive online classes for elementary students
- Teach core subjects,at least 2 of the following:
- Math
- Science
- English Literature
- World Studies / History
- Create lesson plans and instructional materials tailored to student learning needs
- Encourage student participation, curiosity, and confidence in learning
- Monitor student progress and provide constructive feedback
- Adapt teaching methods to different learning styles and abilities
- Maintain clear communication with parents/guardians when necessary
- Foster a positive, patient, and encouraging classroom environment
- Prepare students for future academic advancement into Junior High level subjects
- Willing to start in mid-August 2026.
Qualifications
- Master’s Degree in Education or a related field is required
- Proven experience teaching elementary students in an online or classroom setting
- Strong background in Math, Science, English Literature, and History/World Studies
- Excellent spoken and written English communication skills
- Patient, enthusiastic, approachable, and student-focused personality
- Strong classroom management and engagement skills in a virtual setting
- Comfortable using online teaching platforms and educational technology
- Open to teaching Junior High students in the future.
