Responsibilities
- Perform monthly categorization of client expenses and income transactions using QuickBooks Online
- Review, reconcile, and verify financial transactions to ensure proper classification and accuracy
- Maintain organized and up-to-date financial records for multiple client accounts across various industries
- Manage end-to-end bookkeeping workflows including transaction categorization, reconciliations, reporting, and account maintenance
- Assist in implementing and improving QuickBooks automation processes to reduce manual work and improve efficiency
- Recommend workflow improvements, integrations, and automation tools within QuickBooks and related systems
- Collaborate directly with the business owner regarding transaction reviews, discrepancies, and process improvements
- Support the firm’s goal of bringing all client books current by the targeted September deadline
- Communicate proactively regarding financial discrepancies, missing information, or bookkeeping concerns
- Contribute to improving operational systems and scalability for a rapidly growing client portfolio
Requirements
- Proven hands-on experience with QuickBooks Online
- Strong bookkeeping and reconciliation experience with high attention to detail
- Experience with QuickBooks automations, integrations, or workflow optimization preferred
- Understanding of end-to-end bookkeeping processes and financial record management
- Strong communication skills with ability to collaborate directly with the business owner
- Ability to work independently while providing consistent updates and progress tracking
- Strong organizational and time management skills across multiple client accounts
- Comfortable working daytime hours for real-time collaboration and communication
- Commitment to minimum 10 hours per week with strong potential for increased hours over time
Preferred Skills & Qualifications
- Experience with accounting workflow automation tools and integrations
- Familiarity with receipt management and financial document platforms
- Ability to identify inefficiencies and proactively recommend process improvements
- Experience supporting small businesses or accounting firms with multiple client accounts
- Strong problem-solving mindset with systems-oriented thinking
