Your Role: Social Media Manager / Content Creator
Job Overview
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Social Media Coordinator to manage content creation, scheduling, and community engagement across multiple platforms. This role involves producing visually compelling and locally relevant content, editing short-form videos, and maintaining brand consistency for client accounts. The ideal candidate is proactive, organized, and experienced in social media management, graphic design, and digital storytelling.
Schedule- Monday - Friday anytime between 11am-5pm EST
Responsibilities:
- Create and curate engaging social media content that aligns with each client's unique brand identity
- Manage and schedule posts across social media platforms using Sprout Social
- Monitor community engagement and respond to interactions to foster audience growth
- Edit short-form video content for social media distribution
- Research the Hudson Valley and Catskills region to produce locally relevant and timely content
- Design visual assets using Canva to support digital marketing campaigns
Requirements:
- Proven experience in social media management and content creation, supported by a strong portfolio
- Proficiency in video editing and graphic design tools such as Canva
- Strong understanding of brand aesthetics and ability to maintain visual consistency across accounts
- Ability to quickly learn and navigate new digital platforms and tools
- Excellent attention to detail and a keen creative eye
- Strong written communication skills and ability to work independently
Scope:
- Part-time engagement of 20 hours per week (4 hours per day, Monday to Friday)
- Support a growing roster of clients within a regional marketing agency
- Collaborate remotely with the agency founder to execute digital marketing strategies
- Contribute to the agency's creative output across content creation and social media channels
- Conduct ongoing research into the local Hudson Valley and Catskills market to inform content direction
