Job Overview

We are looking for a creative and detail-oriented Interior Designer to join our growing team. This role is responsible for developing functional and visually appealing interior concepts for residential renovation, remodeling, and new construction projects. The ideal candidate has a strong eye for design, understands construction processes, and can collaborate effectively with clients, contractors, and project teams.

The Interior Designer will help bring client visions to life by creating design concepts, selecting finishes and materials, preparing presentations, and ensuring projects are executed according to design standards and client expectations.

Work Schedule

  • 40hrs per week, Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM (Eastern Standard Time), Includes a 1-hour unpaid break

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet with clients to understand project goals, preferences, budgets, and timelines
  • Develop interior design concepts, mood boards, space plans, and presentations
  • Select materials, finishes, fixtures, furniture, lighting, and color palettes
  • Prepare design drawings, renderings, and specifications using design software
  • Coordinate with contractors, project managers, vendors, and other team members
  • Assist with sourcing materials and obtaining pricing or samples
  • Ensure designs align with project scope, budget, and construction requirements
  • Review project progress and help maintain design quality throughout execution
  • Make revisions and adjustments based on client feedback or site conditions
  • Stay updated on current design trends, materials, and industry best practices

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Interior Designer, preferably in residential construction or remodeling
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, SketchUp, Revit, or similar tools
  • Strong understanding of interior finishes, materials, furniture, and space planning
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural and construction drawings
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines
  • Experience coordinating with contractors and vendors is a plus
  • Degree or certification in Interior Design, Architecture, or a related field preferred

Nice to Have

  • Experience with residential renovations, rehabs, or additions
  • Knowledge of construction processes and permitting requirements
  • Experience creating 3D renderings and visual presentations
  • Familiarity with project management tools and construction documentation
