Job Overview
We are hiring a motivated Appointment Setter to conduct outbound calls to homeowner leads, qualify interest in mortgage protection and life insurance products, and schedule appointments for licensed producers. This role requires strong communication skills, consistent follow-up, and the ability to handle objections while maintaining accurate lead records. The ideal candidate is self-driven, detail-oriented, and experienced in outbound calling, telemarketing, or appointment setting, preferably within the insurance or financial services industry.
Schedule: Monday- Friday 12pm - 7pm EST, 35 hours a week.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct outbound calls to homeowner leads to qualify interest in mortgage protection and life insurance products
- Follow a provided script to engage prospects and uncover their insurance needs
- Schedule qualified appointments on the producer's calendar for closing calls
- Track and manage lead follow-ups to ensure no opportunities are missed
- Maintain accurate records of call outcomes and lead status
- Achieve a 30–40% conversion rate from contacted leads to booked appointments
Requirements:
- 1–5 years of experience in outbound calling, appointment setting, or telemarketing, preferably in insurance or financial services
- Strong verbal communication skills with a clear and engaging phone presence
- Ability to handle objections professionally and redirect conversations toward booking appointments
- High level of self-motivation and discipline to maintain consistent call volume
- Strong attention to detail when qualifying leads and recording information
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
Scope:
- Outbound calling to aged and fresh mortgage leads across Indiana, with future expansion to Ohio and Michigan
- Qualifying homeowners with mortgages ranging from $50,000 to $500,000
- Setting appointments specifically for mortgage protection, with occasional final expense and term/whole life insurance inquiries
- Operating via a US-based phone number using a VoIP platform
- Working within US Eastern/Central time zones as directed by the producer
