Overview
Join a solo marketing consultant based in Melbourne, Australia, as a part-time Social Media and Content Creation Assistant supporting diverse businesses through social media management, email newsletters, and engagement strategies. In this 20-hour-per-week role, you will take ownership of content execution by editing video content, creating graphics and reels, and managing newsletter layouts. The ideal candidate will work independently to turn provided schedules, captions, and visual direction into high-quality digital assets. By executing these design and content tasks efficiently, you will play a key role in freeing up the client to focus on strategy and business development.
Schedule
- Part-time (20 hours per week) | Flexible, working with a client in Australian Eastern Time (Melbourne)
Responsibilities
- Edit video content recorded on iPhone for social media posts using Canva or Adobe Premiere Pro, depending on content length.
- Create social media graphics with text and images, and design social media reels using Canva.
- Enhance audio quality for video content to ensure professional output.
- Manage newsletter content layout and module arrangement using Kit (email marketing platform) based on provided templates.
- Post content across multiple social media platforms following provided schedules and captions for each platform.
- Improve upon provided design templates while adhering to established visual direction and brand guidelines.
- Perform additional administrative tasks as needed to fully utilize weekly hours.
Requirements
Must-Have Requirements
- 2-5 years of experience in social media management or content creation (APPLICATIONS WITH PORTFOLIOS WILL BE PRIORITIZED)
- Proficiency in Canva for creating social media graphics, reels, and video editing.
- Experience with video editing and audio enhancement.
- Ability to write captions and hashtags for social media posts.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow specific directions and templates.
- Comfortable tracking reach, engagement, and basic analytics across social media platforms.
- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively with flexible scheduling.
Nice-To-Have Requirements
- Experience with Adobe Premiere Pro for longer video editing projects.
- Familiarity with Kit or similar email marketing platforms for newsletter management.
- Experience managing content across multiple social media platforms simultaneously.
- Graphic design skills with ability to improve and refine existing templates.
