Residential Construction Project Manager

Job Overview

Our client is seeking a seasoned and highly organized Residential Construction Project Manager to oversee the end-to-end execution of residential construction and renovation projects tailored for real estate investors. In this full-time remote role, you will act as the operational bridge between the business owner, field contractors, material suppliers, and external stakeholders. Your primary mission is to ensure that scattered investment properties are renovated to strict quality control standards, completely on budget, and on schedule. This position requires a sharp problem-solver who can aggressively track milestones, navigate municipal permitting bottlenecks, and mitigate material sourcing issues independently.

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST (Eastern Standard Time) Note: Includes a 1-hour unpaid break (40 hours per week).

Responsibilities

  • Project Lifecycle Oversight: Direct the end-to-end operational execution of residential construction and high-turnover investment property renovation projects.
  • Stakeholder Coordination: Act as the central point of contact to coordinate with field contractors, tradespeople, material suppliers, and project stakeholders to maintain budget and timeline alignment.
  • Milestone Tracking: Monitor critical project timelines proactively, implementing aggressive contingency plans to resolve delays, structural permit bottlenecks, or regional material sourcing challenges.
  • Communication Pipelines: Deliver highly structured, consistent project status updates and financial reporting milestones to real estate investor clients and internal leadership teams.
  • Quality Assurance: Enforce strict quality control standards and asset specifications virtually across all active residential job sites.
  • Escalation Management: Troubleshoot on-site contractor disputes, material discrepancies, and change-order requests independently to protect investor margins.

Requirements

  • Construction Management Expertise: Proven, hands-on experience in construction project management, with a distinct preference for residential flips, multi-family turns, or investment property renovations.
  • Operational Autonomy: Demonstrated capability to work independently, manage multiple geographical project pipelines simultaneously, and make high-stakes operational decisions within Eastern Time (EST) business hours.
  • Problem-Solving Skills: High level of critical thinking with an ability to anticipate logistical issues before they cause project delays.
  • Communication Mastery: Exceptional verbal and written English communication skills suitable for managing tough contractor negotiations and reporting to executive-level real estate investors.
  • Softphone Competency: Highly comfortable utilizing client-provided softphone software to conduct heavy phone communication with on-site teams and vendors daily.

Qualifications

  • High level of attention to detail with zero tolerance for administrative errors in budgeting or tracking.
  • Familiarity with modern construction project management software systems (e.g., Buildertrend, CoConstruct, or Monday.com) is considered a major asset.
  • Reliable high-speed internet infrastructure and a professional, completely quiet home office environment.

Independent Contractor Perks

  • Permanent work from home
  • Immediate hiring
  • Health Insurance Coverage for eligible locations
