Overview
We are seeking an experienced Senior Accountant to oversee the company’s accounting operations, financial reporting, bookkeeping, and inventory accounting functions. This role is ideal for someone with strong experience in inventory-heavy or manufacturing environments and advanced knowledge of QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise. This position will also support the transition from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online and requires the ability to securely remote into the company’s office server through a local office computer.
Schedule
- Full-time, 8 hours per day Monday - Friday, start at 7 am - 3:30 pm with lunch for 30 minutes
Responsibilities
- Oversee and manage daily accounting and financial reporting functions
- Prepare and review financial statements and management reports
- Ensure accurate recording of all financial transactions, including inventory valuation and cost of goods sold (COGS)
- Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, invoicing, payroll, and reconciliations
- Maintain and track inventory records within QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise
- Support inventory accounting and manufacturing cost analysis
- Assist with the migration from QuickBooks Desktop to QuickBooks Online
- Collaborate with bookkeeping staff to ensure financial data accuracy
- Identify opportunities to improve accounting processes and internal controls
- Maintain organized and accurate financial records
- Manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines consistently
Requirements
- Senior-level accounting experience, preferably in inventory or manufacturing environments
- Strong proficiency in QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise, including inventory modules
- Familiarity with QuickBooks Online
- Strong understanding of inventory accounting and manufacturing bookkeeping practices
- Experience managing high-volume accounting and bookkeeping workloads
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills
- High attention to detail and accuracy
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to work independently in a remote setup
- Comfortable securely remoting into the company server through office systems
Preferred Qualifications
- QuickBooks certification preferred
- Experience with inventory-heavy consumer brands or manufacturing businesses
- Experience supporting accounting system migrations
