Job Overview 
We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Bookkeeper to manage day-to-day financial records, reconciliations, and monthly reporting for a growing business. This part-time remote role involves handling multiple bank and credit card accounts, cleaning up bookkeeping backlog, and maintaining accurate, audit-ready financial records using QuickBooks. The ideal candidate is highly organized, experienced in reconciliation and financial reporting, and comfortable working independently with minimal supervision.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 12pm to 4pm Eastern

Responsibilities:

  • Reconcile transactions across multiple bank accounts and credit cards on an ongoing basis
  • Prepare accurate monthly profit and loss statements to provide clear visibility into cash flow
  • Clean up and organize several months of bookkeeping backlog, including the prior year's records
  • Categorize and document all income and expenses to maintain clean, audit-ready books
  • Prepare and organize financial records ahead of tax season for seamless filing
  • Assist with light administrative tasks during periods of lower bookkeeping volume

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with QuickBooks for transaction management and financial reporting
  • Strong understanding of bookkeeping principles, including accounts reconciliation and P&L preparation
  • Experience handling bookkeeping cleanup and backlog work
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy when working with financial data
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a remote environment
  • Strong organizational and time management skills

Scope:

  • Manage bookkeeping for two business bank accounts, one personal bank account, and 10–13 credit cards
  • Work part-time at 20 hours per week with set daily schedules
  • Operate remotely by logging into a dedicated computer set up at the client's office
  • Complete backlog cleanup for the current year (four months) and the prior year
  • Deliver consistent monthly financial reports and maintain ongoing book accuracy
