Customer Service Representative - E-commerce Automotive

Overview

Join a thriving U.S.-based automotive e-commerce company as a dedicated Customer Service Representative. You will manage multi-channel inquiries—from technical support to pre-sales—ensuring a seamless experience for car enthusiasts in a fast-paced, remote environment.

Schedule: Mon-Fri 10am to 7pm EST (with one hour of unpaid break)

Responsibilities

  • Manage customer inquiries via live chat, email, and phone support channels using Zendesk, standard email inbox, and RingCentral phone system.
  • Process and resolve customer service requests including order tracking, returns, exchanges, warranty support, and general product inquiries.
  • Provide technical support and product guidance to customers regarding automotive products and accessories.
  • Utilize Shopify platform for order management, customer account management, and sales tracking.
  • Maintain detailed customer interaction notes and documentation to ensure seamless communication across potential team members.
  • Research and source accurate information using available tools and resources to provide comprehensive customer solutions.
  • Handle pre-sales inquiries and support customers through the purchasing decision process.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in e-commerce customer service with strong communication skills.
  • Automotive knowledge or genuine interest in cars and automotive products.
  • Proficiency with customer service platforms including Zendesk for live chat management.
  • Experience using Shopify for order management and customer account administration.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision while managing multiple communication channels simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to research solutions using available resources and tools.
  • Familiarity with RingCentral phone systems or similar telecommunications platforms (Nice-to-have).
  • Experience in technical support or warranty claims processing (Nice-to-have).
  • Background in handling both customer service and sales-related inquiries (Nice-to-have).
