Job Overview
Our client is looking for a detail-oriented US Quickbooks Bookkeeper who can efficiently manage bookkeeping tasks and support their team in client management, account reconciliation, and administrative duties for a U.S.-based Accounting Firm. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of QuickBooks Online, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to multitask effectively. This role requires direct client communication, transaction categorization, income recording, and month-end closing procedures to support the firm’s financial health and ensure the integrity of their financial operations.

Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping & Transaction Management: Perform daily bookkeeping and transaction categorization for multiple client accounts; ensure accurate tracking and matching of intercompany bank transfers and perform detailed transaction reconciliations.
- Accounts Payable & Receivable Management: Manage client invoices, matching payments accurately to prevent errors, and ensure a smooth accounts payable workflow; handle accrual accounting and sales tax calculations.
- Inventory & Project Tracking: Monitor inventory levels and manage inventory journal entries within QuickBooks Online; support accurate project tracking for clients, particularly in retail and wholesale industries.
- Sales Channel & Payment Processing Integration: Oversee the integration between Shopify and QuickBooks, ensuring accurate categorization and reconciliation of transactions; process merchant fees and income allocations using payment platforms like Stripe, Gusto, and Authorize.net.
- Month-End Close & Financial Reporting: Complete month-end close processes, checking for discrepancies, updating financial statements, preparing balance sheets, and generating profit and loss reports.
- Client Coordination: Coordinate directly with clients to resolve transaction inquiries, providing clear, supportive communication that fosters trust.
Requirements
- Technical Proficiency: Advanced expertise in Excel, Google Sheets, QuickBooks Online, Shopify, and Gusto is essential. Experience with Stripe and Authorize.net is a plus.
- Financial Acumen: Strong understanding of balance sheets, accrual accounting, sales tax compliance, and inventory management.
- Experience in Retail/Wholesale: Familiarity with retail and wholesale clients' unique needs, including intercompany transfers and detailed project tracking.
- Attention to Detail: Demonstrated ability to research transactions independently, ensuring accurate categorization and error-free records.
- Independent Work Style: Capable of managing workload autonomously, ensuring deadlines and quality standards are consistently met.
