Overview
We are looking for a CAD Draftsperson responsible for providing drafting, drawing preparation, revisions, and project package support for all companies within the group. This is a shared technical role that ensures consistent drawing standards, efficient turnaround times, and reliable support for both pre-production and project execution needs.
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday, 9 am to 6 pm Pacific with an hour unpaid break
Responsibilities
- Prepare CAD drawings, layouts, and technical illustrations based on project requirements, field information, redlines, sketches, and client specifications.
- Produce project packages, including drawing sets, revisions, as-built updates, and supporting documentation required for internal use, customer submission, or field execution.
- Review and update drawings to reflect scope changes, approved revisions, and site conditions.
- Support Sales Coordinators and Delivery Coordinators with drawing-related questions, revisions, and technical clarifications.
- Ensure all drawings follow company standards, naming conventions, formatting requirements, and version control procedures.
- Maintain organized digital drawing files and ensure project documentation is stored correctly and consistently.
Requirements
- Strong proficiency in AutoCAD or similar CAD software.
- Ability to read and interpret drawings, sketches, markups, and technical instructions.
- Accuracy and attention to detail in drafting and file control.
- Good organizational skills for managing revisions, versions, and project packages.
- Ability to coordinate with Delivery Coordinators, field teams, and leadership.
- Strong communication skills for clarifying scope gaps and technical questions.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines.
- Preferred: Experience in telecom, cabling, low-voltage, or construction drafting
- Preferred: Experience preparing project packages, submittals, or as-built drawings.
