Travel Associate (Sabre)

Job Overview:

As the Travel Associate, you will be responsible for handling inbound client inquiries, managing travel arrangements, and confirming hotel bookings. To excel in this fast-paced role, candidates should have 2-5 years of recent hands-on experience with the Sabre GDS system, strong English communication skills, and a proven track record of empathetic, solutions-focused customer service.

Schedule:

  • 40 hours per week, 8 hours per day (with 1 hr unpaid break) (possible shifting schedule) Central Alberta (Stettler), Canada - MDT

Responsibilities:

  • Respond immediately to inbound client inquiries via phone, email, text, or chat. Ensure itineraries are confirmed and sent out on the same day as requested.
  • Effectively research and make decisions based on available information, balancing guest needs with business priorities.
  • Handle and resolve a variety of customer concerns, complaints, and questions via phone and email.
  • Efficiently manage service requests and coordinate travel arrangements.
  • Perform outbound calls to hotel suppliers to confirm bookings and billing.
  • Respond professionally, appropriately, and promptly.
  • Provide accurate travel advice.
  • Document client concerns for follow-up.
  • Maintain a working knowledge of company products, services, and promotions.
  • Assist with additional projects or assignments as required.

Requirements:

  • Must have 2–5 years of experience with Sabre, ideally with recent hands-on use if on the lower end of that range.
  • Proficiency in systems such as Sabre, Excel, and Word.
  • At least 2 years of experience in customer service and/or a sales-related environment.
  • Experience with GDS systems.
  • Exceptional customer service skills, including problem-solving while balancing customer and company needs.
  • Extraordinary time management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Flexible schedule based on business needs.
  • Independent, self-motivated, empathetic, solutions-focused, and passionate about guest support.
  • Proven track record of punctuality and reliability.
  • Requires fluency in English with exceptional verbal and written communication skills.
