Overview
We are seeking a proactive and reliable IT Systems Administrator to manage and support our company’s day-to-day technology operations. This role focuses on user support, system maintenance, network management, and basic cybersecurity practices. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and capable of working independently while following structured processes. This role also requires a proactive mindset to improve systems, not just maintain them.
Schedule
- Monday to Friday, 9am to 6pm Eastern with an hour unpaid break
Key Responsibilities
- Provide technical support for internal users (Windows systems, laptops, troubleshooting)
- Manage and administer Google Workspace (user setup, permissions, account
management) - Maintain and monitor network infrastructure (Ubiquiti / UniFi preferred), including
firmware updates and basic configuration - Support endpoint protection and device management
- Assist with onboarding and offboarding processes (accounts, access, devices)
- Install, configure, and maintain software tools
- Monitor systems and proactively identify potential issues
- Maintain documentation for systems and processes
- Assist in implementing basic cybersecurity practices (MFA, secure access, etc.)
Required Qualifications
- 2–5 year’s experience in IT support or systems administration
- Strong knowledge of Windows environments and troubleshooting
- Experience managing Google Workspace
- Experience with Ubiquiti / UniFi networking
- Basic understanding of cybersecurity best practices (MFA, endpoint protection)
- Familiarity with antivirus / endpoint security tools
- Basic networking knowledge (WiFi, routers, IP concepts)
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently
Preferred Qualifications (Nice to Have)
- Experience with endpoint management (MDM tools)
- Experience with Microsoft 365 environments, including Azure Active Directory (Azure AD
/ Entra ID), Microsoft Intune, and Active Directory (AD) - Experience with email systems and security (Exchange Online, spam filtering, email
protection) - Familiarity with automation tools (Zapier, Make)
- Basic scripting knowledge (PowerShell or similar)
- Experience supporting SaaS environments
