We are a custom furniture manufacturing company operating in the high-end furnishings sector. Since 2014, we have built a strong reputation for precision, craftsmanship, and trust, delivering bespoke furniture solutions for residential, interior design, and commercial hospitality projects.

We are seeking a highly detail-oriented Design & Sales Support Specialist to support our internal sales and design operations through technical drafting, 3D visualisation, and proposal development.

Role Overview

This is a back-of-house technical role focused on converting early-stage client concepts into accurate technical drawings, 3D models, and structured proposals that support the sales process.

You will work closely with the sales team to translate design intent into manufacturable solutions, ensuring accuracy, feasibility, and clarity across all project documentation.

Work Schedule: 36 hours per week, Monday to Saturday, 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM AEST with a 30 minute paid break

Key Responsibilities

Design & Technical Drafting (Core Focus)

• Technical Drawing: Translate rough sketches or client requirements into professional AutoCAD 2D floor plans and spatial layouts.

• 3D Visualization: Build high-quality SketchUp models and renderings to be used in client presentations.

• Space Planning: Ensure all furniture selections fit the scale and flow of the client's residential or commercial space. 

Proposal Development & Sales Support

• Documentation: Prepare comprehensive quotes, formal proposals, and project specifications.

• Accuracy: Verify pricing, lead times, and material availability before proposals are sent to clients.

• Data Management: Maintain and update product libraries, CAD blocks, and CRM records. 

Internal Collaboration

• Work closely with sales consultants to translate concepts into technically viable solutions
• Provide design validation and “proof of concept” support for active opportunities
• Assist in updating drawings, layouts, and specifications as required

Requirements

• Advanced proficiency in AutoCAD (2D drafting essential)
• Strong SketchUp skills for 3D modelling and rendering
• Previous experience in a back-of-house design role (furniture, cabinetry, interior design, or similar industry)
• Strong attention to detail with high accuracy in measurements and calculations
• Ability to work independently and meet deadlines within structured working hours

• High-performance PC or laptop capable of CAD and 3D rendering work
• Reliable high-speed internet connection with backup option
