US Multi-Entity Bookkeeper (QuickBooks)

Job Overview

Our client is looking for an experienced and detail-oriented Bookkeeper to manage the financial records across multiple business entities. This role initially focuses on a comprehensive cleanup of historical bookkeeping records before transitioning into day-to-day financial tracking, reconciliation, and reporting. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience with QuickBooks and a strong understanding of U.S. financial standards.

Schedule

  • Monday - Thursday, 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM CST (20 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Accurately record and categorize financial transactions across multiple LLCs to ensure clean and current books
  • Perform cleanup of historical bookkeeping records and resolve discrepancies in account information
  • Reconcile bank statements, accounts receivable, and accounts payable on a regular basis
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements for each entity
  • Manage and organize different asset categories across multiple business entities
  • Generate and follow up on invoices and ensure timely processing of payables

Requirements

  • Demonstrated proficiency in QuickBooks with 5+ years of hands-on bookkeeping experience
  • Familiarity with U.S. bookkeeping standards, IRS requirements, and financial compliance practices
  • Experience managing books for multiple entities or LLCs simultaneously
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in financial record-keeping
  • Strong organizational and time management skills with the ability to work independently
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for regular reporting and collaboration

Scope

  • Part-time engagement of 20 hours per week, operating within the client's U.S. time zone
  • Initial focus on cleaning up and organizing existing financial records across multiple LLCs
  • Transition into ongoing day-to-day bookkeeping and financial reporting
  • Available for real-time communication via Zoom, Slack, or other channels during scheduled working hours
  • Maintain systematic documentation and audit-ready financial records
  • Support the client in understanding financial position across diverse asset categories
