Podcast Producer & Editor

Overview:

As a Podcast Editor, you will manage the end-to-end post-production workflow by editing high-quality audio and video episodes while creating engaging short-form social media clips. Utilizing tools like Descript, Riverside, and Canva, you'll be responsible for implementing client revisions and populating design templates to ensure a polished, professional final product. The ideal candidate brings 2–5 years of experience and excels at organizing multiple projects independently to meet consistent quality standards across all deliverables. 

Schedule: Flexible during client business hours / 9:00 AM to 5:00 PM UK Time Zone

Responsibilities:

  • Manage the end-to-end post-production workflow for podcast episodes, including video and audio editing
  • Create engaging short-form social media clips with captions from recorded episodes
  • Process and implement client revision requests in a timely and accurate manner
  • Populate existing design templates with episode-specific artwork and visual elements
  • Ensure consistent audio and video quality across all deliverables
  • Organize and prioritize tasks across multiple episodes and clients during peak periods

Requirements:

  • Minimum 2–5 years of experience in podcast or audio/video editing
  • Proficiency in Descript, Riverside, Canva, Euphonic, and Adobe Podcast
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on delivering polished, professional content
  • Ability to work independently and manage workload with minimal supervision
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Strong understanding of social media content formats and best practices for short-form video

Scope:

  • Handle all post-production tasks once episodes are recorded
  • Support the team by reducing reliance on ad-hoc freelance editors
  • Work across multiple university and non-profit client accounts
  • Adapt to fluctuating workloads with peaks and troughs across weeks
  • Initially part-time (20 hrs/week) with potential to scale to full-time based on performance milestones
  • Collaborate with Sarah, the primary point of contact, for day-to-day task direction
