About the Role

As a Forward Deployed Engineer (FDE) at UPLaunch, you are the bridge between cutting-edge AI research and real-world business transformation. You will lead complex, end-to-end deployments of LLMs, specifically focusing on how these models interact with core business systems like HubSpot.

You aren't just shipping code; you are building the infrastructure of trust. You will own the discovery, technical scoping, system design, and production rollout, working directly with customer engineering teams to ensure our solutions deliver measurable impact.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday - flexible from 9AM to 6PM Sydney (8hrs hrs per day)

Responsibilities

• Drive Technical Delivery: Own the full lifecycle of multiple deployments, from the first prototype to a stable, scaled production environment.
• Master the HubSpot Ecosystem: Build deep integrations between frontier AI models and HubSpot, automating CRM workflows, lead scoring, and personalized customer journeys.
• Build Full-Stack Systems: Develop robust systems (Python/JavaScript) that deliver immediate customer value and sharpen our internal learning loops.
• Embed with Customers: Work side-by-side with customer teams to understand their unique pain points and guide the adoption of the "Agentic" approach.
• Architect for Impact: Scope work, sequence delivery, and proactively remove blockers. You’ll make critical trade-offs between scope, speed, and quality to protect delivery timelines.
• Codify Excellence: Turn bespoke solutions into reusable tools, playbooks, or building blocks that accelerate future deployments.
• Close the Feedback Loop: Share field insights with our Product and Research teams to help shape the future roadmap of our models based on real-world performance.

Requirements

• Have the Experience: 5+ years of engineering or technical deployment experience, with a heavy emphasis on customer-facing roles.
• Are a HubSpot Power User: You have a deep technical understanding of the HubSpot API, custom objects, and workflow automation. You know how to make CRM data "talk" to an LLM.
• Are a Full-Stack Builder: You write production-grade code in Python (for AI/Data) and JavaScript/TypeScript (for integrations and front-end).
• Understand LLMs: You’ve deployed systems powered by generative models and understand how model behavior (latency, hallucinations, context windows) affects the end-user experience.
• Thrive in Ambiguity: You can simplify complex problems and make sound decisions under pressure in fast-moving environments.
• Are a Clear Communicator: You can translate "AI-speak" for stakeholders and "Business-speak" for engineers.
• Value Human-Centric AI: You believe that trust and value are the primary currencies of the modern era.
