Job Overview

Our client is looking for a Spanish Bilingual Medical Receptionist to support a healthcare practice focused on preventative care outreach and patient engagement. This role is responsible for conducting outbound calls, scheduling appointments, and ensuring patients complete essential health screenings. A healthcare or medical office background is required, along with strong communication skills in both English and Spanish. The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, patient-focused, and comfortable managing high-volume outbound communication in a clinical environment.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM PST, (40 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

• Conduct outbound calls to patients due for preventative health screenings (e.g., pap smears, mammograms, colonoscopies).
• Follow up with patients to encourage and confirm completion of scheduled screenings.
• Schedule, reschedule, and confirm patient appointments.
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records, outreach logs, and appointment statuses.
• Communicate clearly and professionally with patients in both English and Spanish.
• Ensure all patient interactions are handled with empathy, accuracy, and compliance.
• Work within established workflows to improve patient screening and compliance rates.
• Operate strictly within HIPAA and healthcare compliance guidelines.
• Act as a key contact for screening reminders and appointment coordination.

Requirements

• Fluency in English and Spanish (spoken and written).
• Prior experience in a healthcare, medical office, clinic, or hospital setting (required).
• Professional verbal communication and patient-facing customer service skills.
• Close attention to detail when handling sensitive patient data.
• Familiarity with HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality standards.
• Ability to manage a high volume of outbound calls independently.
• Comfortable working in a structured healthcare communication environment.
