Full-Cycle Construction Bookkeeper

Job Overview

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented and reliable Full-Cycle Bookkeeper with Construction Industry experience to support the business's day-to-day financial operations. The ideal candidate will have strong experience in bank reconciliations, Accounts Receivable (AR), and Accounts Payable (AP), with the ability to work accurately in a fast-paced environment. Essential experience includes working within the construction industry and familiarity with construction-related invoicing, supplier payments, project costing, and managing multiple cross-project transactions.

Responsibilities

Accounts Reconciliation

  • Perform daily, weekly, and monthly bank reconciliations
  • Reconcile financial discrepancies by collecting and analyzing account information
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records
  • Identify and resolve inconsistencies in financial transactions

Accounts Receivable (AR)

  • Prepare and issue invoices to clients
  • Monitor outstanding balances and follow up on overdue payments
  • Process incoming payments and maintain accurate AR records
  • Coordinate with clients regarding billing concerns and payment schedules

Accounts Payable (AP)

  • Process supplier invoices and subcontractor payments
  • Verify invoices, purchase orders, and payment requests
  • Maintain accurate AP records and ensure timely payments
  • Communicate with vendors regarding billing and payment inquiries

General Bookkeeping Support

  • Assist with financial reporting and documentation
  • Maintain organized digital financial records and filing systems
  • Support month-end and year-end financial processes
  • Ensure compliance with internal financial procedures

Requirements

  • Proven bookkeeping experience within the construction industry
  • Strong experience in: Bank Reconciliation, Accounts Receivable, and Accounts Payable
  • Experience using accounting software such as Xero, QuickBooks, MYOB, or similar
  • Close attention to detail and accuracy
  • Strong organizational and time management skills
  • Ability to manage confidential financial information professionally
  • Professional communication skills

Nice-to-have

  • Experience handling construction project costing or progress billing
  • Understanding of subcontractor and supplier payment processes
  • Experience working remotely with international teams
