Job Overview

Our client is seeking a highly experienced and proactive Senior IT Specialist to serve as a high-level technical lead within a fast-paced Managed Service Provider (MSP) environment. This role is designed for a technical expert who can independently manage complex Level 2–3 escalations across diverse client infrastructures. You will be responsible for the health, security, and automation of hybrid and cloud environments, focusing heavily on Microsoft Azure, Intune, and Entra ID. The ideal candidate is a self-starter who can navigate multi-client support with minimal supervision while driving operational efficiency through PowerShell automation.

Schedule  

• Monday to Friday, 8AM to 5PM Perth time (1-hour unpaid break)  (40 hours per week)

Responsibilities

• Advanced Support: Provide Level 2–3 technical support across multiple client environments, resolving complex infrastructure, cloud, endpoint, and security issues.
• Microsoft Cloud Administration: Administer and maintain Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Intune, Active Directory, and Entra ID in both cloud-native and hybrid configurations.
• Security & Access Control: Implement and manage endpoint security, MFA, conditional access policies, and identity management to ensure client data integrity.
• Automation: Develop and improve IT automation processes using PowerShell to streamline repetitive tasks and optimize MSP workflows.
• Business Continuity: Support and maintain robust backup, disaster recovery, and business continuity solutions for a variety of client types.
• Technical Escalation: Handle high-level tickets efficiently, ensuring all Service Level Agreements (SLAs) are met while providing clear communication to stakeholders.
• Documentation: Contribute to the creation of internal SOPs and client-facing documentation to improve overall operational efficiency.

Requirements

• MSP Mastery: 5–10+ years of hands-on IT experience within an MSP or multi-client support environment.
• Microsoft Expert: Deep hands-on expertise in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune, and Entra ID (formerly Azure AD).
• Automation Skills: Strong proficiency in PowerShell scripting and process automation.
• Cybersecurity Knowledge: Comprehensive understanding of endpoint security, access management, and modern security remediation techniques.
• Infrastructure Savvy: Experience managing hybrid cloud and on-premise Active Directory environments.
• Communication: Ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and non-technical stakeholders clearly.

Qualifications

• Relevant certifications in Microsoft Azure, Microsoft 365, Security+, or Endpoint Management (Highly Preferred).
• Experience with MSP-specific tools (RMM, PSA, Documentation platforms) (Preferred).
