Senior Bookkeeper (Inventory & Operations)

Overview:

Join a rapidly growing company generating $500,000+ in monthly revenue with complex inventory operations. This business requires sophisticated financial oversight to manage substantial cash flows, debt structures, and transaction-level profitability analysis. You’ll work directly with leadership to provide critical financial insights that drive strategic decision-making in a dynamic, fast-paced environment.

You’ll be the financial backbone of a thriving $6M+ annual revenue business, taking full ownership of comprehensive bookkeeping operations that directly impact strategic decisions. This isn’t just data entry – you’ll analyze every transaction for profitability, monitor financial risk, and present insights that shape the company’s growth trajectory. Your expertise will be highly valued as you work closely with leadership to ensure financial stability and optimize cash flow management.

Schedule:

  • Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM Pacific Standard Time, with 1hr break (40 hours per week) 

Responsibilities:

  • Track and analyze every transaction to determine profitability on individual deals
  • Manage comprehensive accounts receivable and accounts payable processes
  • Monitor debt levels and provide proactive alerts when approaching risk thresholds
  • Prepare and present detailed financial reports on weekly and monthly cycles
  • Handle complex inventory accounting and valuation for substantial product operations
  • Oversee expense tracking, categorization, and budget variance analysis
  • Provide strategic financial insights and recommendations to executive leadership
  • Ensure compliance with US tax regulations and accounting standards

Requirements:

  • 5+ years of professional bookkeeping experience at senior level
  • Direct experience working with companies that operate in inventory-based distribution, specifically with an Inventory & Cost Accountant (Distribution Focus) background.
  • Experience with landed cost allocation, COGS management, and inventory reconciliation 
  • Strong experience with inventory-heavy businesses and complex cash flow management
  • Solid knowledge of US tax laws and regulatory compliance requirements
  • Proven expertise in accounts receivable and payable management
  • Experience with debt monitoring and financial risk assessment capabilities
  • Ability to prepare comprehensive financial reports and executive presentations
  • Strong analytical skills for transaction-level profitability analysis
  • Bonus if you have experience with high-volume transaction environments
  • It helps if you’re comfortable working directly with business owners on strategic decisions
