The Opportunity

We are seeking a Senior Social Media Specialist to lead and execute a high-impact social media strategy across multiple platforms. This is a hands-on, strategic role for someone who can think big, execute fast, and translate mission-driven work into engaging, high-performing content.

You will own the full social media lifecycle—from strategy and content creation to community engagement and performance optimization—while helping grow a strong, loyal digital community.

Schedule: Monday – Friday, Flexible schedule (40 hours per week)
Client Timezone: (Australia – New South Wales alignment)
 

What You Will Do

Strategy & Growth

  • Develop and execute platform-specific strategies across Instagram, Facebook, LinkedIn, TikTok, and emerging channels
  • Build and manage a content calendar aligned with campaigns, events, and organizational goals
  • Stay ahead of trends, algorithm updates, and best practices to continuously improve performance

Content Creation & Storytelling

  • Create high-quality, on-brand content including graphics, videos, and written posts
  • Craft compelling narratives that resonate with audiences and drive engagement
  • Develop content that supports campaigns, partnerships, and community initiatives

Community Engagement

  • Actively engage with the online community—responding to comments, messages, and interactions
  • Foster relationships with followers, supporters, and partners to build a strong digital presence
  • Maintain a consistent and authentic brand voice across all channels

Analytics & Optimization

  • Monitor performance metrics including engagement, reach, and growth
  • Deliver monthly reports with actionable insights and recommendations
  • Continuously test, optimize, and refine content strategies

Collaboration & Execution

  • Work cross-functionally with internal teams and stakeholders to gather content and align messaging
  • Support the creation of digital assets for campaigns, events, and communications
  • Ensure timely and consistent execution of all social media activities

What You Bring

  • 5+ years of experience in social media marketing, digital content, or brand management
  • Proven track record of growing and managing social media accounts
  • Strong expertise in content creation tools (photo, video, design)
  • Excellent copywriting and storytelling skills
  • Strong understanding of analytics, performance tracking, and optimization
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a remote environment

Nice to Have:

  • Experience working with purpose-driven, nonprofit, or community-focused organizations
  • Background in SEO or digital marketing strategy
  • A strong portfolio showcasing social media campaigns and content
