We are seeking a detail-oriented  CAD Design Engineer (Mechanical | Python/C++ | Technical Drafting)  to support a growing engineering and design team specializing in mechanical systems. This role is ideal for someone with strong CAD experience and a solid understanding of engineering principles, with the ability to translate technical specifications into accurate, high-quality drawings.

Schedule

• Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 6:00 PM (Flexible within client business hours, NSW Time Zone); 40 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

• Create detailed technical drawings using CAD software for mechanical, structural, and electrical systems
• Prepare and issue drawings based on specification sheets for internal teams and client presentations
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and installers to resolve design challenges
• Apply coding skills to design, test, and optimize engineering models, simulations, and workflows
• Review and update drawings to ensure compliance with project requirements and regulatory standards
• Maintain accurate documentation and version control of all drawings

Qualifications

• Proven experience in drafting and design using CAD software (or equivalent)
• Background in Mechanical Engineering is preferred (recent graduates are welcome to apply)
• Experience in Python and/or C++ for engineering applications (e.g., modeling, simulation, automation)
• Strong ability to read and interpret technical specifications
• High attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and teamwork skills
