Overview
Join a growing remote law firm as a vital support pillar for property transfer and estate planning operations. This role offers a structured environment where your precision in document preparation and legal research directly impacts the efficiency of a solo practitioner’s office.
Schedule:
- Part-time (20 hours per week) during EST business hours (9 AM–6 PM), with potential for increased hours following onboarding.
Responsibilities
- Prepare child series documents by performing find-and-replace data entry using intake sheets and pre-built templates
- Proofread legal descriptions and completed documents to ensure accuracy before final review
- Maintain and organize Google Drive folders according to workflow stages (to-do, in review, completed)
- Assist with estate planning document preparation by populating client names, percentages, and key details into stock templates
- Support deed research by verifying county e-recording platforms, fees, and payment details via online resources
- Handle overflow document editing tasks from the primary office, incorporating handwritten changes into digital documents
- Primarily supporting the remote law firm's property transfer operations with occasional overflow from the in-house solo practitioner office
- Handling confidential client data including names, addresses, and property details
- Expected to manage batch assignments on a weekly cadence with clear deadlines
Requirements
- Experience in administrative or clerical support, preferably within a legal or professional services environment
- Strong attention to detail and ability to identify errors in legal documents
- Proficiency with Google Drive and document management workflows
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision after initial training
- Strong written communication skills and professional demeanor when handling sensitive client information
- Comfortable following structured SOPs and clearly defined task lists
