AU Bookkeeper and Admin Support (Xero & MYOB)

Job Overview

Our client is looking for a detail-oriented professional to handle a dual role involving end-to-end bookkeeping and general sales administration. This position is critical for streamlining business operations and leading a primary financial migration project to ensure data accuracy and organizational efficiency.

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 1:00 PM AEST (20 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end bookkeeping including bank reconciliations, payroll processing, and invoicing using Xero
  • Lead the migration and consolidation of financial data from MYOB to Xero to establish a single source of truth
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial record-keeping across all accounts
  • Prepare and follow up on client proposals and sales documentation
  • Chase outstanding invoices and sales leads to support revenue generation
  • Provide general administrative support to streamline daily business operations

Requirements

  • Demonstrated experience with both Xero and MYOB, including data migration between platforms
  • Solid understanding of bookkeeping principles, payroll, and invoicing workflows
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy in financial data management
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities with minimal supervision

Scope

  • Split focus between bookkeeping/accounting tasks and general sales administration
  • Collaborate with the client's external accountant to ensure alignment during and after the MYOB-to-Xero migration
  • Support proposal preparation and lead follow-up as needed
  • Utilize DocuSign and PandaDocs for document management and client communications
