Role Overview:
You will step into a critical role owning the financial operations for a growing property management company. This position demands a rare combination of high-speed data processing and impeccable accuracy. You will make an immediate impact by clearing a complex financial backlog and then transition into long-term ownership of streamlined, error-free financial processes for 100+ properties.
Client Overview:
A well-established, family-owned property management company overseeing a portfolio of 100+ rental properties. We are experiencing rapid growth and require a dedicated finance professional who can handle high-volume workflows while maintaining excellent client relationships through precise reporting.
Schedule:
- Mondays to Fridays, flexible schedule within the client’s business hours between 9:00 am and 11:00 am (UK Time, 10 hours per week, 2 hours per day)
Key Non-Negotiables & Responsibilities:
1. High Time-Efficiency (Backlog & Data Management)
- Quickly process and categorize existing financial records to bring all accounts current.
- Take full ownership of invoicing and data entry for 100+ managed properties.
- Efficiently handle PDF-to-data conversions and maintain organized digital records via Dropbox.
- Adapt financial reports to meet individual client requirements using various spreadsheet formats on tight weekly and monthly cycles.
2. Bookkeeping Accuracy (Financial Integrity)
- Prepare and maintain flawless monthly statements for all properties and clients.
- Prepare accurate VAT returns and ensure ongoing UK tax compliance with zero margin for error.
- Review inventory reports for errors and ensure every entry is compliant with property market standards.
- Maintain a precise ledger of accounts receivable and diligently follow up on outstanding payments.
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of bookkeeping with strong UK accounting knowledge.
- Proven ability to thrive in fast-paced environments; you must be a "power user" of spreadsheets.
- Exceptional attention to detail—you catch the errors that others miss.
- Ability to work independently as an Independent Contractor, taking full ownership of the finance function.
- Strong skills for direct interaction with business owners via WhatsApp and email.
