SEO & Google Ads Specialist (E-commerce)

Job Overview

Our client is seeking an experienced SEO & Google Ads Specialist to take full ownership of their digital marketing strategy. This remote, part-time role is ideal for a results-driven professional who can confidently manage both paid advertising and organic search initiatives. You will be the primary driver of traffic, conversion growth, and ROI maximization, making a measurable impact on the brand's digital footprint.

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday, 12:00 PM - 4:00 PM NZST (20 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Google Ads Management: Build and manage Search, Display, and Shopping campaigns; conduct keyword research, A/B testing, and bid optimizations; and set up comprehensive conversion tracking.
  • SEO Optimization: Perform on-page and off-page SEO audits; optimize site structure, metadata, and page speed; and develop and execute effective backlink strategies.
  • Analytics & Reporting: Track key metrics (CTR, bounce rate, conversions, rankings) and provide monthly reports with actionable insights based on data trends.
  • Collaboration: Coordinate with the marketing team on content strategies, work with developers to implement technical SEO best practices, and contribute ideas for blog topics and seasonal campaigns.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of experience in SEO and Google Ads (experience in eCommerce or retail is preferred).
  • Deep knowledge of Google Ads, GA4, Google Tag Manager (GTM), and Google Search Console.
  • Proficiency with industry-standard tools such as SEMrush, Ahrefs, and Screaming Frog.
  • Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently, interpret complex data, and turn it into a growth strategy.

Qualifications

  • Experience with Shopify or similar eCommerce CMS is a significant advantage.
  • Proven track record of boosting Quality Scores and CTR while optimizing ad spend.
  • Ability to deliver transparent and insightful ROI reports.
