Job Overview
The Shopify Staff Manager is the operational backbone of the company’s e-commerce division. This leader reports directly to ownership and is accountable for turning strategic direction into measurable results. You will oversee end-to-end Shopify operations, ensuring seamless daily execution while driving performance across sales, fulfillment, customer experience, and digital merchandising. This is a high-autonomy role designed for a systems-thinker who can build a profitable, scalable machine from ownership's vision.

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST, with 1 hour unpaid/paid break (40 hours per week)
Responsibilities
- Platform Management: Oversee the full Shopify ecosystem, including product listings, SEO, site structure, and mobile optimization; coordinate with developers for theme updates and app integrations.
- Operations & Fulfillment: Own the full order lifecycle and shipping timelines; build and refine SOPs for picking, packing, and returns while monitoring fulfillment KPIs and 3PL coordination.
- Customer Experience: Oversee service workflows and satisfaction metrics; implement systems for ticketing, escalations, and refunds to ensure brand-aligned communication.
- Merchandising & Marketing: Manage product launches and seasonal promotions; collaborate with marketing on landing pages and conversion optimization to ensure brand consistency.
- Data & Accountability: Maintain dashboards for sales, conversion, and AOV; provide weekly performance reports directly to ownership and identify opportunities for automation.
- Team Leadership: Manage and train staff across customer service, fulfillment, and merchandising; hold weekly check-ins to set priorities and ensure accountability.
Requirements
- E-commerce Expertise: 3–5+ years managing Shopify operations or e-commerce teams.
- Technical Mastery: Deep understanding of Shopify admin, apps, integrations, and analytics.
- Systems Thinking: Strong operational mindset with proven experience building robust systems and SOPs.
- Logistics Knowledge: Experience with inventory management and high-volume fulfillment workflows.
- Analytical Skills: Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and make strategic recommendations to leadership.
- Leadership: Excellent communication skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams and operate with high autonomy.
Qualifications
- Experience with Klaviyo, Gorgias, ShipStation, or ReCharge is highly preferred.
- Background in DTC brands, retail operations, or multi-channel e-commerce.
- Familiarity with basic HTML/CSS or Shopify theme customization.
- Proven track record scaling an e-commerce operation from early to mature stages.
