Overview

Join a rapidly expanding U.S. commercial property management firm as a key player in their accounting team. We are looking for a Yardi expert to take full ownership of property-level financial reporting and drive operational efficiency across a diverse portfolio of over 145 properties.

Schedule:

• Aligned with U.S. Central Time business hours (40 hours per week)

Responsibilities

• Property Accounting (End-to-End Ownership): Manage a portfolio of properties and own the full accounting cycle, including cash receipts, journal entries, bank reconciliations, and financial reporting.
• Accounts Receivable: Record and manage cash receipts in Yardi, support AR processes, and ensure accurate allocation of incoming payments.
• Month-End Close: Execute month-end close processes, prepare/post journal entries, reconcile accounts, and generate internal financial reports.
• Bank Reconciliations: Perform bank and CAM reconciliations, investigate variances, and ensure accuracy across all accounts.
• Financial Reporting: Run and review property-level financial statements to ensure timely delivery and provide insights to stakeholders.
• System Work (Yardi): Maintain clean data within Yardi and assist with property setup during new property onboarding.
• Collaboration: Work closely with the Controller, Accounting Manager, and Property Managers in an internal-facing capacity.

Requirements

• 3–5+ years of property accounting experience.
• Strong, hands-on experience with Yardi (non-negotiable).
• Proven experience with Accounts Receivable, Journal Entries, Bank Reconciliations, Month-End Close, and Financial Reporting.
• Experience working with commercial real estate portfolios.
• Ability to manage multiple properties simultaneously.
• Advanced proficiency in Yardi and a strong understanding of accounting principles.
