Job Overview
Our client is looking for a seasoned estimator who will independently own the estimating process from conceptual pricing through hard bid across all trades and CSI divisions. This is a role for an expert who can hit the ground running with minimal training, works confidently across every trade in the construction industry, and is comfortable communicating directly with U.S. subcontractors through Construction Online. For the right candidate, there is a clear path to grow into a project management role over time.

Monday - Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM Central Time, with 1 hour unpaid break (40 work hours per week)
Responsibilities
- Prepare full estimates from conceptual/schematic pricing through detailed hard bid submissions
- Perform accurate quantity takeoffs across all CSI divisions and all trades for multifamily projects (40+ units)
- Build, maintain, and refine assemblies in STACK to improve takeoff speed, consistency, and accuracy
- Solicit, track, and level subcontractor bids; analyze scope coverage and identify gaps or overlaps
- Manage all subcontractor bidding and communication through Construction Online
- Conduct value engineering and cost analysis
- Support budget tracking and change order pricing
- Prepare complete, professional bid packages
- Maintain historical cost data, unit pricing, and subcontractor databases
Requirements
- 5+ years of estimating experience in construction, with significant multifamily exposure (40 units or larger)
- Proficiency in STACK, including hands-on experience creating and managing assemblies (must-have)
- Working knowledge of Construction Online (UDA)
- Strong command of all trades and CSI divisions in ground-up multifamily construction
- Ability to read and interpret architectural, structural, and MEP drawings
- Professional written and verbal English communication
- Self-directed and able to manage multiple bids simultaneously with minimal supervision
- No degree required; professional experience and proven track record are prioritized
- Prior U.S. construction market experience (Preferred)
- Project management experience (Preferred; role has a path into a PM position)
