Customer Service Representative | Cleaning Services | Remote | Urgent - 11 Week Timeline Role Name: Customer Service Representative Schedule: Mon-Thu 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST Client Timezone: Eastern Standard Time CLIENT OVERVIEW A newly established cleaning services business in the startup phase, currently building their platform and preparing to onboard clients within the next month. The company is seeking to build a strong foundation with a reliable team member who can grow with the business long-term. JOB OVERVIEW This is a full-time remote position focused on speed to lead customer service and operational support for an emerging cleaning services company. The role requires someone who can independently manage incoming inquiries, coordinate with cleaning staff, and handle day-to-day operational issues while the business owner transitions out of a heavy executive role. This position offers significant growth potential as the business scales, with opportunities to take on additional responsibilities including hiring and team management. RESPONSIBILITIES Answer incoming calls promptly and professionally with proper greeting and company representation. Respond to messages quickly and proactively follow up with potential customers via phone without hesitation. Perform accurate data entry into the CRM system for all customer interactions and bookings. Schedule cleaners according to customer appointments and maintain coordination with cleaning staff. Handle day-to-day operational issues such as cleaner scheduling conflicts, cancellations, or emergency situations that arise during business hours. Participate in regular call reviews and coaching sessions to continuously improve customer service quality. Conduct morning and evening check-ins to review daily operations and upcoming schedules. MUST-HAVE REQUIREMENTS Proven customer service experience with strong phone communication skills and professional phone etiquette. Demonstrated reliability with consistent attendance and minimal unplanned absences. Highly coachable with the ability to receive direct feedback and implement improvements quickly. Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and take initiative on tasks. Strong common sense and problem-solving abilities to handle unexpected situations professionally. Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage in direct, transparent dialogue. NICE-TO-HAVE REQUIREMENTS Experience with CRM systems and data management. Background in scheduling or operations coordination. Previous experience in the cleaning services industry or similar service-based businesses. Sales experience or ability to convert inquiries into bookings.
