Sales Development Representative (VoIP / SaaS)

Job Overview

Our client is seeking a high-performing Sales Development Representative to drive lead generation and book qualified sales appointments for a technology solution targeting businesses with existing phone systems. This role requires prospecting, cold calling, and appointment setting with decision-makers at companies that use business VoIP services. The successful candidate will work directly with the client and collaborate with a sales engineer who handles technical demos and closing.

Client Overview

Our client is a SaaS company launching an innovative voice-over-IP solution that modernizes traditional phone menu systems with visual, mobile-friendly interfaces. The product helps businesses reduce call wait times, minimize misrouted calls, and improve customer satisfaction through streamlined call routing technology.

Schedule

  • Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 5:00 PM EST, with 30 minutes paid break (40 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Conduct prospecting to identify and qualify potential B2B clients who would benefit from VoIP phone system enhancements.
  • Perform outbound cold calling to decision-makers to introduce the SaaS product and communicate its value proposition.
  • Book qualified appointments with interested prospects for the sales engineer to conduct technical demonstrations.
  • Maintain accurate records of outreach activities, responses, and appointments in CRM or tracking systems.
  • Provide end-of-day or weekly progress reports, including contact volume, response rates, and appointments booked.
  • Participate in regular check-in meetings with management to review pipeline progress and optimization strategies.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years in B2B appointment setting, specifically within SaaS or technical sales environments.
  • Proven experience in the telecommunications or VoIP industry, including navigating technical buying processes for mid-to-large businesses.
  • Demonstrated success as a high-performing sales professional with a track record of meeting or exceeding booking targets.
  • Ability to articulate complex technical value propositions clearly to executive-level decision-makers.
  • Self-motivated and organized, with expertise in using CRM systems, phone dialers, and other sales productivity tools.
