Job Overview:

As a Social Media Assistant, you will focus on identifying potential wholesale partners and conducting outreach through Instagram and email. You will engage with brands that align with the company’s aesthetic and values, helping to build a strong pipeline of retail partnerships.

In addition to outreach, you may support creative initiatives such as content creation, reels, and graphic design. This role requires a mix of communication skills, attention to detail, and creativity.

Schedule:

  • Varsity Lakes, Australia (AEST) (20 hours per week, flexible during business hours)

Responsibilities:

Lead Generation & Research

  • Identify potential wholesale leads including florists, gift stores, and baby stores
  • Research and shortlist brands that align with the company’s aesthetic
  • Maintain organised lead lists and outreach tracking

Social Media Outreach

  • Execute outreach strategy via Instagram direct messages
  • Engage with prospects in a professional and brand-aligned tone
  • Build relationships with potential wholesale partners

Email Follow-Ups

  • Conduct follow-up outreach via email for non-responsive leads
  • Maintain consistent communication to improve response rates
  • Track outreach performance and responses

Creative Support (Bonus)

  • Assist with Instagram content creation, including Reels
  • Create basic graphics using Canva
  • Support brand visibility through engaging social media content

Requirements:

  • Experience in social media outreach and lead generation
  • Strong familiarity with Instagram and direct messaging strategies
  • Professional written communication skills for email outreach
  • Strong attention to detail and organisation
  • Ability to work independently and manage outreach pipelines
  • Basic Canva or graphic design skills preferred
  • Creative mindset with an eye for brand aesthetics (preferred)
