Marketing Assistant

Overview:

You’ll be the organizational backbone for a thriving service-based business, combining administrative excellence with creative marketing support. This role offers the perfect blend of structured tasks and creative projects, allowing you to develop diverse skills while directly contributing to business growth. You’ll work closely with the business owner to streamline operations, enhance the company’s digital presence, and support the expansion of commercial cleaning services.

Schedule:

  • 20 hours per week; Monday through Friday 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM | Client Timezone: Pacific Time (California)  

Responsibilities:

  • Create and manage social media content, including editing and posting across platforms
  • Develop and maintain Excel spreadsheets for business operations and contract tracking
  • Manage general admin and billing processes for commercial clients
  • Support commercial cleaning contract administration and documentation
  • Design marketing materials using Canva for client communications and business development
  • Develop newsletters and ebooks for client engagement and business promotion
  • Assist with basic web development tasks and website maintenance
  • Handle general administrative duties and maintain organized business systems
  • Provide operational support with strong attention to detail and accuracy

Requirements:

  • Proven experience with Excel and advanced spreadsheet functions for business operations
  • Proficiency in Canva for creating professional marketing materials and graphics (APPLICATIONS WITH PORTFOLIOS WILL BE PRIORITIZED)
  • Experience building landing pages and basic web development skills
  • Social media management experience with content creation and editing capabilities
  • Strong administrative and organizational skills with invoice creation experience
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision during flexible PST business hours
  • Excellent written communication skills and attention to detail
  • Reliable internet connection and professional home office setup
  • Bonus if you have experience with commercial service industries
  • It helps if you’re familiar with Notion or similar project management tools
