Restaurant Accounting Clerk

Job Overview

Join our team as a dedicated Restaurant Accounting Clerk, where you will play a vital role in ensuring the financial accuracy of our daily operations. You will be responsible for precise data entry, reconciling POS records, and preparing essential performance summaries to support our bookkeeping team.

Schedule: Monday to Friday from 9:00 AM to 1:00 PM Central Time (4 hours per day, 20 hours per week)

Responsibilities
● Populate predefined scorecard inputs used for weekly and monthly performance reporting (including EBITDA summaries).
● Pull daily sales reports from the Toast POS system
● Enter daily sales by category into the DSR / scorecard
● Enter or update daily Cost of Goods Sold (COGS) using xtraCHEF and vendor invoices
● Reconcile Toast sales against cash and card transactions
● Review and reconcile voids, comps, and discounts
● Identify and flag discrepancies or issues (no resolution required)
● Prepare weekly sales and performance summaries
● Ensure all financial data is accurate, complete, and ready for the bookkeeper
● Maintain organized records and follow established reporting procedures

Requirements
● Familiarity with restaurant scorecards, KPIs, and structured reporting templates (The template exists but still they probably should have some experience on this).
● Previous experience working with restaurant POS systems (Toast preferred)
● Strong proficiency in Excel and/or Google Sheets
● High attention to detail and accuracy with data entry
● Basic understanding of restaurant accounting concepts (sales, COGS, reconciliations)
● Ability to work independently in a remote environment
● Reliable internet connection and strong time-management skills
