Level 2 Technical Support Engineer (Windows & POS Systems)

Overview:

We are seeking a skilled Technical IT Support Specialist to join a growing team in a full-time remote capacity. This role is ideal for someone with strong Windows support experience and hands-on exposure to software deployment and system configuration, operating just below a System Administrator level.

You will support external partner environments by remotely accessing systems, installing and configuring software, and ensuring smooth integration with existing platforms.

Schedule: Monday to Friday 8:00am to 5:00pm, NSW Time-zone, 40 hours per week

Responsibilities:

  • Remotely access partner environments (primarily Windows-based systems)
  • Install, configure, and troubleshoot software applications
  • Integrate software with on-device databases and Point of Sale (POS) systems
  • Provide technical support and resolve configuration issues efficiently
  • Communicate directly with external partners via phone and email
  • Ensure smooth deployment and setup across multiple environments
  • Work closely with an existing contractor during the onboarding phase

Requirements:

  • Strong experience in Windows OS support and troubleshooting
  • Hands-on experience with remote desktop tools / remote system access
  • Experience with software installation, configuration, and deployment
  • Familiarity with databases and POS systems integration is highly advantageous
  • Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)
  • Professional and confident phone manner when dealing with external stakeholders
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks

Nice to Have:

  • Experience in retail, healthcare, or multi-site technical environments
  • Exposure to basic networking concepts
  • Experience supporting multi-location or partner-based environments
