Role Overview

We are seeking a Roofing Estimator & Insurance Claims Specialist to manage the estimating and claims support process from start to finish. This role combines Xactimate estimating, insurance coordination, and client follow-up, ensuring all projects are accurately scoped, properly documented, and fully approved for maximum claim value.

Schedule: 40h per week - Business Hours based on EST 

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed estimates for roofing and siding projects using Xactimate
• Review measurement reports from tools such as Hover and EagleView
• Analyze insurance estimates and identify missing items or under-scoped work
• Create and submit supplement estimates to insurance companies
• Ensure estimates align with local/state building codes and requirements
• Communicate with insurance adjusters to follow up on claims and approvals
• Track claim progress, including supplements, depreciation, and payments
• Follow up on pending and completed claims to ensure timely processing
• Contact client lists to schedule roof inspections and generate new opportunities
• Maintain accurate documentation of estimates, claims, and communications 

Requirements

• Experience with Xactimate (mandatory)
• Background in roofing, siding, or general construction is a bonus
• Ability to read and interpret measurement reports (Hover, EagleView, etc.) 
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy in estimating
• Excellent communication skills (phone and written)
• Comfortable making outbound calls to clients and insurance companies
• Ability to manage multiple projects and follow-ups simultaneously 

Highly Regarded Skills & Experience

• Experience working with U.S. insurance carriers and adjusters
• Knowledge of local/state building codes and compliance requirements
• Sales or appointment setting experience within construction/home services
• Familiarity with CRM systems and project tracking tools
• Strong negotiation skills for supplement approvals
