Job Overview

Our client is looking for a Local SEO Implementation Specialist to support the execution of SEO campaigns for their clients. This role will focus on improving local search visibility through on-page optimization, technical improvements, and citation building.

Schedule

• Monday - Friday, flexible during client business hours, CT (20 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

• Conduct keyword research focused on local search terms (e.g., “service + city”)
• Optimize website content, including: Page titles, meta descriptions, headers, and on-page copy
• Assist with Google Business Profile (GBP) optimization and updates
• Build and manage local citations and directory listings
• Identify and fix basic technical SEO issues (site structure, indexing, etc.)
• Support content creation efforts (service pages, location pages, blog topics)
• Monitor rankings and track SEO performance
• Perform SEO audits and identify opportunities for improvement
• Assist with backlink outreach and link-building efforts

Requirements

• Experience with SEO (especially local SEO preferred)
• Understanding of: Keyword research, On-page SEO, Google Business Profile optimization, and Citations/backlinks
• Familiarity with tools such as: Google Search Console, Google Analytics, and Ahrefs, SEMrush, or similar tools
• Strong attention to detail
• Ability to follow SOPs and processes
• Good written English skills

Preferred (Not Required)

• Experience working with marketing agencies
• Experience optimizing multiple client websites
• Basic knowledge of HTML or website builders (WordPress, Webflow, etc.)
• Experience with schema markup or technical SEO
• Experience with tools like BrightLocal, Whitespark, or similar

This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits.
