Client Overview

Join an established furniture retailer based in Texas that is actively expanding its digital footprint. Having launched their website one year ago, they are now in an exciting growth phase, fine-tuning their online presence and building the backend systems necessary for future scale. As a company new to outsourcing, they are looking for a reliable assistant who can help establish efficient workflows and maintain a professional digital showroom.

Schedule

  • Monday – Friday, Flexible during client business hours (9:00 AM – 5:00 PM CST) (20 hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Product Data Entry: Input new furniture pieces and detailed product information into the website’s Content Management System (CMS).
  • Inventory Updates: Rapidly update website details for new stock received on delivery trucks to ensure real-time accuracy.
  • Showroom Synchronization: Perform regular audits and data entry for showroom floor inventory to ensure the digital catalog matches physical stock.
  • Digital Record Keeping: Maintain organized records of furniture specifications, dimensions, and product descriptions.
  • Website Support: Assist with ongoing website management tasks as the business refines its online presence.
  • Workflow Collaboration: Work closely with the internal team to ensure a seamless flow of information between the warehouse and the website.
  • Process Optimization: Help identify and establish more efficient workflows for inventory management as the digital department evolves.

Requirements

  • Meticulous Accuracy: Strong attention to detail to ensure that SKU numbers, pricing, and descriptions are entered correctly every time.
  • Technical Aptitude: Basic computer skills and the ability to learn new online platforms and CMS tools quickly.
  • Independence: Reliability and the self-discipline to work independently with minimal daily supervision.
  • Instruction Focused: Ability to follow complex, detailed instructions and work accurately with raw data provided by the client.
  • Focus: Comfort with repetitive data-entry tasks while maintaining a high standard of quality over time.
  • Experience (Bonus): Previous experience with e-commerce platforms (like Shopify or WooCommerce) or a background in the furniture/retail industry.

Side Note

This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits. Professional hourly fees are established based on your performance in the application process.
