Email Marketing Specialist - Klaviyo

Are you a Klaviyo pro who loves turning emails into revenue? We’re looking for a talented Email Marketing & Lifecycle Specialist to own our email channel end-to-end and drive customer retention, repeat purchases, and lifetime value. This isn’t just about sending campaigns—it’s about building strategic customer journeys from acquisition to retention and reactivation, optimizing automated flows, and creating high-converting, visually engaging emails.

  • Monday to Friday - 9AM to 6PM Melbourne with 1-hr unpaid break

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Ownership

  • Own the email marketing channel end to end
  • Develop and execute a retention strategy focused on LTV and repeat purchase rate
  • Build customer journeys across the full lifecycle (acquisition → retention → reactivation.

Flows & Automation

Build and optimize core flows:

  • Welcome series
  • Abandoned cart
  • Browse abandonment
  • Post-purchase
  • Replenishment
  • Winback

Continuously test and improve flows (A/B testing, timing, messaging

Campaigns

  • Plan and execute campaign calendar (promotions, launches, content)
  • Write compelling, on-brand email copy
  • Design clean, high-converting email layouts

Segmentation & Personalization

  • Develop and manage customer segments (new vs returning, high value, churn risk, etc.)
  • Implement personalized messaging based on behavior and purchase history

Data & Performance

Track and report on key metrics:

  • Revenue per recipient
  • Open rate / click rate
  • Conversion rate
  • LTV

Use data to continuously optimize performance

Collaboration

  • Work closely with paid ads team to align messaging and offers
  • Support broader marketing campaigns and product launches
  • Ensure consistency across email, website, and ads

Key Skills & Experience

  • Advanced hands-on experience with Klaviyo (flows, campaigns, segmentation, analytics)
  • Proven ability to own and grow email/SMS revenue, not just execute campaigns
  • Strong experience building end-to-end lifecycle journeys (welcome → retention → winback)
  • Deep understanding of customer retention, LTV, and repeat purchase strategy
  • Expertise in segmentation and behavior-based personalization
  • Demonstrated experience building and optimizing automated flows (abandoned cart, post-purchase, replenishment, etc.)

Note

  • Most important non-negotiable is this person needs to have experience with Klavio (that's the email platform we use) + they need to have experience with graphics design to put together emails.

  • This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits.
