E-commerce Assistant with Customer Support & Creative Design | Remote | Immediate Start

Job Description:

You’ll be the digital backbone of a growing retail operation, managing everything from Shopify maintenance to customer relationships while contributing your creative skills to marketing initiatives. This role offers incredible variety - one day you’re optimizing product listings, the next you’re designing promotional materials or nurturing customer relationships. You’ll work directly with the business owner to support both online and physical location operations, making a tangible impact on a business that values innovation and customer service excellence. 

Client Overview:

A thriving hybrid retail business that combines a successful Shopify e-commerce platform with a profitable physical location. The company operates subscription and membership services with their brick-and-mortar store generating the majority of revenue. The tech-savvy owner leverages AI tools for business optimization and is actively scaling operations across multiple revenue streams.

Schedule:

• Full Time - 40h per week - Monday - Friday - 8am-5pm MDT

Responsibilities:

• Manage daily Shopify operations including content updates, product management, order processing, and plugin maintenance
• Handle customer inquiries and provide sales support through digital channels (email, chat, social media)
• Create and design marketing and promotional materials using your creative skills and design portfolio
• Process and fullfill online orders efficiently while maintaining high customer satisfaction standards
• Respond to customer questions regarding pricing, products, and services with professionalism
• Maintain customer databases and communication records for ongoing relationship management
• Provide comprehensive back-end administrative support for e-commerce operations
• Collaborate directly with the business owner on strategic growth initiatives

Requirements:

• Proven experience as an E-commerce Assistant with specific Shopify platform expertise
• Strong customer support and digital sales background
• Content creation and graphic design capabilities with portfolio examples to showcase your work (APPLICATIONS WITH PORTFOLIOS WILL BE PRIORITIZED)
• Excellent written communication skills for professional customer interactions
• Experience with e-commerce order management and fulfillment processes
• Bonus if you have experience with subscription/membership business models
• It helps if you’re familiar with digital marketing campaigns and promotional strategies
• You bring the ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities effectively
