Responsibilities
- Bookkeeping Support: Support the bookkeeping team during tax season by interpreting complex transaction types and organizing supporting documentation.
- Compliance Management: Manage annual compliance requirements and respond to KYC/AML documentation requests from investment counterparties.
- Filing Systems: Design and maintain cloud-based filing systems to streamline document exchanges with external partners.
- Workflow Coordination: Lead operational setup initiatives and coordinate compliance documentation to ensure all paperwork is complete and audit-ready.
- Strategic Support: Provide administrative assistance to free up senior staff time for marketing and deal-sourcing activities.
- Operational Improvement: Identify and implement process improvements as the office continues to structure and grow.
- Reporting Evolution: Potential to expand into monthly/quarterly report writing and due diligence support as the role evolves.
Requirements
- Financial Expertise: Strong bookkeeping experience with advanced Excel skills and financial record-keeping expertise.
- Administrative Skills: Proven ability to handle diverse administrative tasks and multitask effectively in a fast-paced environment.
- Compliance Knowledge: Experience with compliance documentation, particularly KYC/AML processes within financial services or investment contexts.
- Tech Savvy: Familiarity with cloud-based filing systems and digital document management platforms.
- Attention to Detail: Exceptional attention to detail and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Flexibility: Ability to handle seasonal workload variations and evolving responsibilities as the firm scales.
