Job Description:

You’ll be the vital connection between patients and their healthcare providers, managing appointment scheduling that directly impacts patient satisfaction and medical care access. Client Overview:

Schedule:

  • Full-time (40 hours per week); Monday to Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM Eastern Time with an hour unpaid break

  • Client Timezone: Eastern Time (Ontario, Canada)

Responsibilities:

  • Book and schedule appointments for doctors through professional phone interactions with patients
  • Conduct patient research prior to outbound calls to ensure personalized and efficient service
  • Navigate and master Electronic Medical Records (EMR) systems for patient information management
  • Operate multiple software platforms simultaneously for appointment tracking and booking coordination
  • Handle both inbound and outbound patient communications with professionalism and empathy
  • Maintain accurate scheduling records and patient data across various integrated systems
  • Collaborate with medical staff to optimize appointment availability and patient flow
  • Adapt to evolving software systems and scheduling processes as the practice scales

Requirements:

  • Strong verbal communication skills for professional patient interactions
  • Comfort with phone-based customer service and ability to handle sensitive patient conversations
  • Quick learner who can master multiple software systems and medical terminology
  • Reliable high-speed internet connection (100+ Mbps preferred for optimal software performance)
  • Dedicated home office space with professional setup for patient calls
  • Bonus if you have previous customer service or administrative experience
  • It helps if you’re familiar with medical terminology or healthcare environments
