Customer Service Representative - Zendesk

Job Overview

You’ll be the frontline expert helping customers navigate specialized skincare concerns while building trust through knowledgeable, empathetic support. This role puts you at the center of a growing health-focused business where your expertise directly impacts customer satisfaction and retention. You’ll own the entire customer service experience across multiple channels, from technical ingredient questions to subscription management, making a real difference in people’s skincare journeys.

Client Overview

Join an innovative allergen-free skincare brand developed by a medical professional that’s experiencing rapid growth with $100K+ monthly revenue. This health-focused e-commerce company specializes in safe, effective skincare solutions for customers with sensitive skin conditions. You’ll work directly with customers who have specialized needs around eczema, rosacea, and ingredient sensitivities.

Schedule

Monday - Friday, 7:00 AM - 11:00 AM Pacific (20 work hours per week)

Responsibilities

  • Handle 10-15 daily email tickets through Zendesk platform with focus on specialized skincare guidance
  • Respond to 5-10 daily social media inquiries via Instagram and TikTok
  • Provide expert support for ingredient-related questions and skin conditions (eczema, rosacea, dryness)
  • Process refunds and manage return requests according to company policy
  • Manage subscription cancellations, updates, and modifications for recurring customers
  • Coordinate directly with 3PL warehouse to resolve customer order and shipping issues
  • Process occasional manual orders through the e-commerce platform
  • Expand role to include outreach to new social media followers as business grows

Requirements

  • Advanced proficiency in Zendesk customer service platform
  • Strong written communication skills for email and social media responses
  • Experience with subscription management and e-commerce customer service
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple customer channels simultaneously
  • Bonus if you have knowledge of skincare products and common skin conditions
  • It helps if you have experience with OnSite Support platform

This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits.
