our global NOC operations and seeking a highly skilled Tier 2 NOC Engineer to support after-
hours monitoring, troubleshooting, and escalation.
Location: Overseas / Remote
Schedule: Saturday – Wednesday, 6:00 PM PST – 3:00 AM PST

Role Overview
The Tier 2 NOC Engineer is responsible for proactive monitoring, resolving escalated technical
issues, and ensuring uptime of critical network, server, and security infrastructure. This role
requires strong hands-on experience across firewalls, networks, and server systems, as well as
the ability to work independently during overnight hours.
Key Responsibilities

Monitor customer infrastructure, including servers, firewalls, and network devices, via
-
NOC tools and dashboards
-
Troubleshoot and resolve Tier 2 incidents related to:

Network connectivity issues
-
Firewall alerts, routing problems, VPN failures
-
Server performance, outages, backup failures, and patching
-
Perform system maintenance, updates, and health checks
-
Respond to alerts promptly and ensure accurate documentation in the ticketing system
-
Coordinate escalation to Tier 3 engineers or on-call resources when required
-
Follow established SOPs and contribute to process improvements

Maintain strong communication with internal teams and customers
Required Skills & Qualifications
-
3+ years of experience in NOC, network operations, or MSP support roles

Strong hands-on expertise with:
-
Firewalls (e.g., Fortinet, Cisco, Sophos, Palo Alto)
-
Network infrastructure (switching, routing, VLANs, VPNs)
-
Windows Server environments (AD, DNS, DHCP, Group Policy, file/print
-
services)
-
Proven ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues
-
Experience working with monitoring platforms (ConnectWise, Avik, Huntress, etc.)

Excellent written and verbal English communication
-
Ability to work independently during night shift hours
Preferred Qualifications
-
MSP experience (highly preferred)

Certifications such as Network+, Security+, CCNA, Fortinet NSE, or MCSA

Familiarity with virtualization (VMware, Hyper-V)

Knowledge of backup technologies (Veeam, Acronis, Datto)
Side Note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and the arrangement is that of an “Independent Contractor,” the selected candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process.
