Role Overview
This role sits at the center of how strategy comes to life across the business. The Growth Marketing Lead takes executive-level strategy and translates it into clear, aligned plans and compelling storytelling across Marketing, Product Development, and Sales. This is not a coordination role, and it is not a net-new strategy role. You are responsible for bringing strategy to life—ensuring teams are aligned, work is focused, and plans will resonate both with consumers and retail partners. You will play a critical role in shaping how the business shows up in market—connecting strategy to execution across channels, customers, and touchpoints. At its core, this role ensures the business is not just aligned on strategy—but executing it in a way that drives results.
Schedule: 20 hrs/week, Core Hours 10am–2pm Central Time

What You’ll Do
Translate Strategy into Clear Direction
- Take executive strategy and translate it into clear, actionable priorities across Marketing, Sales, and Product Development
- Build frameworks and plans that help teams understand what to do, why it matters, and where to focus
- Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or misalignment—and bring forward recommendations to strengthen execution
- Ensure strategy is consistently understood and applied across teams
Lead Strategic Storytelling & Sell-In
- Own development of internal and customer-facing decks that bring strategy and plans to life
- Translate strategy into clear, compelling narratives that resonate with both internal stakeholders and retail partners
- Ensure storytelling connects consumer insight, product, and commercial opportunity
- Elevate the quality, clarity, and consistency of how the business presents itself
Drive Cross-Functional Alignment
- Sit at the center of Marketing, Sales, and Product Development to ensure alignment on priorities and plans
- Guide cross-functional conversations toward clarity, focus, and decisions
- Act as a thought partner—helping teams sharpen how strategy shows up in their work
- Proactively identify and resolve disconnects across teams
Ensure Market Relevance & Commercial Impact
- Pressure test plans against retail realities, competitive dynamics, and shopper behavior
- Ensure strategies will land with retail partners while staying true to the consumer
- Incorporate inputs from pricing, assortment, and channel dynamics into planning
- Help teams connect brand storytelling with what will drive performance in market
Drive Focus & Execution Against Priorities
- Maintain visibility across key initiatives and ensure work is progressing against strategic priorities
- Proactively surface risks, trade-offs, and opportunities
- Help the organization stay focused on the highest-impact work
- Bring structure and clarity to complex, fast-moving workstreams
Required Experience
- 6–10+ years in brand management, growth marketing, shopper/retail marketing, or commercial strategy (CPG or retail strongly preferred)
- Experience working across Marketing and Sales, with a strong understanding of how work translates to retail environments
- Proven ability to translate strategy into clear plans, storytelling, and business action
- Strong understanding of retail dynamics, shopper behavior, and commercial drivers

- This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement.
