With established banking relationships and quarterly reporting requirements, this role offers the chance to shape financial strategy in a dynamic, scaling operation.
Schedule
Monday - Friday, 9:00 AM - 6:00 PM UK, with 1 hour unpaid break (40 work hours per week)

Responsibilities
- Prepare comprehensive financial forecasts and strategic management information reports
- Lead quarterly VAT preparation and ensure compliance with UK tax regulations
- Develop and deliver quarterly management information packages for HSBC banking relationships
- Analyze financing options across multiple banking partners and recommend optimal funding strategies
- Supervise and mentor bookkeeping and invoicing team members (Janice and Karen)
- Review, correct, and quality-assure all financial work produced by the finance team
- Take full accountability for the financial accuracy and integrity of business operations
- Collaborate directly with external accountants on final sign-offs and compliance matters
- Potential expansion to oversee financial operations for additional business entities
Requirements
- Proven experience as a Financial Director or senior-level accountant with demonstrated leadership capabilities
- Strong expertise in financial forecasting, management reporting, and VAT compliance
- Experience managing finance teams and balancing hands-on work with strategic oversight
- Proficiency with financial systems and keen attention to detail for error detection
- Experience with fleet operations, vehicle financing, or working with UK banking relationships (Bonus)
- Experience supporting businesses through growth phases or funding rounds (Bonus)
