Career Services Consultant

Role Overview

We’re looking for a personable and empathetic professional to support job seekers by understanding their goals and guiding them toward the right career services.

This role focuses on consultation and client support, helping individuals improve their resumes and job search outcomes, while naturally converting inquiries into paid services.

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday 9:00 AM to 6:00 PM Perth time includes 1-hour unpaid lunch break (8 hours per day/40 hours per week)

Key Responsibilities

Client Consultation & Guidance (Inbound & Outbound)

  • Engage with inbound inquiries from job seekers
  • Proactively make outbound calls to generate leads, follow up on inquiries, and nurture relationships.
  • Understand client backgrounds, goals, and challenges
  • Provide tailored recommendations on resumes, LinkedIn, and job search strategies

Service Recommendation & Conversion

  • Guide clients toward the most suitable services based on their needs
  • Answer questions and build trust to support decision-making
  • Follow up with clients in a helpful, non-pushy manner
Resume Writing & Service Delivery
  • Prepare and refine ATS-compliant resumes tailored to clients’ target roles and industries.
  • Assist in the creation of cover letters and other supporting career documents as needed.
  • Work closely with internal team members to ensure timely and seamless service delivery.
  • Maintain regular follow-ups with clients to support engagement and ensure satisfaction.

Client Experience

  • Ensure a smooth and supportive experience from inquiry to service completion
  • Maintain consistent communication and manage expectations

Administration

  • Track inquiries, consultations, and client progress
  • Maintain accurate records in internal systems

Requirements

  • Experience in HR is highly preferred, or a background in client support or consultative sales
  • Strong communication and active listening skills
  • Ability to build trust and guide clients with empathy
  • Organized, proactive, and detail-oriented
  • Background in career services, recruitment, or resume writing is an advantage
  • Familiarity with job search processes and LinkedIn is preferred
  • Must have own computer and a dedicated, professional workspace
  • Noise-cancelling setup to ensure clear communication during calls
  • Reliable backup internet and power supply

  • This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement. Candidates must have their own computer and reliable internet connection, and are responsible for their own taxes and benefits. Professional hourly fees are established based on your performance in the application process.
