HR & Compliance Manager – Health & Social Care

Role Overview

The HR Manager is responsible for overseeing all human resources functions within the company, ensuring compliance with UK employment law, CQC requirements, and internal policies. This remote role supports recruitment, employee relations, performance management, and workforce compliance within a regulated home care environment.

Scope

  • Monday to Friday 9AM - 4PM UK (4pm - 11pm Manila Time), 35 hours per week

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage end-to-end recruitment, onboarding, and retention of care and office staff
  • Ensure compliance with UK employment legislation, CQC requirements, and safer recruitment standards
  • Oversee employee relations matters, including disciplinaries, grievances, absence management, and performance issues
  • Maintain accurate staff records, including right-to-work checks, DBS documentation, and training compliance
  • Support managers with performance management, supervision guidance, and HR advice
  • Review, update, and implement HR policies, employment contracts, and staff handbooks
  • Prepare HR reports, compliance updates, and workforce data for senior management

Key Skills & Requirements

  • Proven HR management experience, ideally within health or social care
  • Good to have: Strong working knowledge of UK employment law and CQC compliance
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a remote environment
  • CIPD qualification or equivalent experience is desirable

  • This is a permanent work-from-home role under an Independent Contractor arrangement.
